Shipping Policy

Where Do We Ship Wine?

Many states restrict or prohibit the shipment of wine, and the states that allow it are constantly changing. Unfortunately, that means we cannot ship to everyone that would like to purchase wine on our site. We do apologize for the inconvenience if your state laws prevent us from servicing your area. We are also unable to ship orders to PO Boxes.

How Long Will It Take My Order To Ship?

Most orders ship within 24-48 hours of purchase, though it may take as many as 5 business days in some circumstances, depending on the time the order is placed and carrier schedules. Orders placed on the weekend may take longer to ship due to shipping constraints.

All orders are confirmed by e-mail after they are submitted.

What Products May Be Shipped?

Wines of any size may be purchased for in-store pickup. Only .375ml, .500ml, .750ml, and in some cases (depending on bottle shape), 1.0-liter size bottles of wines can be shipped.

How Do We Prevent Damage Associated With Hot Or Cold Weather?

Please be advised we do not ship if temperatures along the shipping route are 90°F  or above or 20°F or below (with discretion).

Weather Damage: All wines are stored in our climate-controlled warehouse, but once they leave our facility we can no longer protect them from weather-related damage. Colonial Wine and Spirits, Inc. is not responsible for any wines that are damaged by excessive heat or cold during the shipping process.

By arranging for shipping of wine, we are providing a service to and acting on behalf of the purchaser. We make no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import any wines into any state. By placing an order with Colonial Wine and Spirits, Inc., the buyer acknowledges sole responsibility for the shipment of wine and other goods purchased and for determining the legality and the tax/duty consequences of having the wine shipped to him or her.


All orders, including orders designated for in-store pickup, must be paid in advance. No order will be considered complete until payment has been submitted. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. All credit card data is transmitted securely.


All items shown on this website are believed to be in stock; however, because real-time data is not always available, it is possible that a given item may be sold in our store during the time between data updates.
